Hi there! I can't believe it's well into August already. Does anyone else feel like this summer FLEW by?! This summer was super fun for me because I really started to explore my city. As funny as that sounds that I haven't already done that, everyone gets caught up in the busy schedule of work or going to the same places over and over that most people really haven't explored their own city. This year I said I would try to hit up as many Chicago festivals as I can and this particular day, I went to probably my favorite festivals of all time! Wicker Park Fest! Wicker Park has so much personality and filled with people who are a little bit grunge and a whole lot of hipsters. And I don't quite know why all of a sudden being a hipster was a BAD thing to some people. I friggin' love hipsters! Shit, I wanna be one! The Hubster and I even rode our bikes there to blend in. Hahaha.

See my baby in the background? Her name is Trixie and I love her. She is custom sized because I am dainty and small. She has awesome neon green inner tubing which makes me feel like a rockstar whilst I navigate the streets of Chicago and wave my middle finger to cars who don't respect the bike path. Biking around Chicago has really allowed me to go to places I normally stop myself from going. Mostly because the public transportation can be tricky or it would take an hour to park the car. Now, I just take out Trixie, pedal my ass over to wherever, and park her on the nearest pole. Sometimes I park her on the "Pay Here" parking sign poles and mentally high five myself for one upping the man. BOOYAH!

So I kind of don't know why it took me THIS long to get a pair of TOMS. They are like heaven on my feet. Everyone should have a pair!

This guy had a mobile DJ station. It was mesmerizing. He would just roll around and play some sick tunes. LOVE! Wicker Park fest was so fun! If you live in Chicago and have never been, make it a point to go next year. And before the festival ends, get yourself some Harold's Chicken. I had it for the first time that night and my eyes rolled to the back of my head from how good it was. DAMN good friend chicken. Crap, I just made myself hungry. Thanks for reading loves! OMGeeeeeeee! The weather was so nice on Sunday! The Hubster and I decided to take our baby Wrigley out for a walk around Belmont harbor. There were so many other doggies, he was going cray! It was so cute seeing him so happy and galloping around. We took the opportunity to get in some fun shots. The Hubster is getting so much better behind the camera right?! So proud of him! =)

I'm wearing some super wide and super fun jeans today from Free People. These are so fun to lounge around in but also fun to walk around in. They swish like a skirt because they are so big but also the denim is very soft. I had to cut about an inch off of the bottom which was really scary. The original hem was a frayed hem so I didn't feel like I needed to take it in to get shortened. Taking a pair of scissors to something is really scary for me. Probably because anything DIY that I do, I tend to rush through it so it never turns out quite right. Lucky for me, these are one of those things that it's really hard to tell if I messed it up. Hahaha... Also loving my Karl by Karl Lagerfeld tee. I thought the graphic of him was so cute. The tee is really really soft and airy. I'll def be wearing this a lot on my lazy days this summer.
