Hello loves! I'm closing the books on another fun weekend. I hope everyone else had a great one. The weather here in Chicago warmed up a bit and the sun came out so it was definitely a weekend to get out of the house. So what did I do this past weekend. Hmmm... The Hubster and myself are total city people so we only venture out to the burbs for people we really love. D+E definitely fits in that category. Friday night, right after work, we got into our trusty Prius and ventured into the burbs. Forty-five minutes later, there we were. It was our first time seeing their new house. I must say, you get a lot more real estate for your money out in the burbies. D+E have the two cutest little boys ever. I had so much fun playing with the new baby. Their eldest is starting to chatter and says the funniest things. It was so good to catch up with them. E is one of my absolute favorites. =) She even made us a yummy salmon dinner. BEST EVA! I had a great time and will plan to invite myself over again soon.
Saturday night was spent celebrating LC's very special birthday. She was lookin' like a smokin' hot babe that night with a super low v cut neckline dress and her Louboutin Lady Dafs. Amaze! Although her dance moves were limited on those stacked heels. LOL. We started out at Sable Kitchen then ended up at my new fave spot Untitled. Another fun night with very funny random moments. Not sure how I ended up yelling "Obamaaaaaa!" before every shot. I also ran into my darling Laurz there. She snapped on some betch that shoved her. It was awesomeballs.
Anyhoo, it was definitely a fun night. And this was what I wore. I'm kind of a night owl so it's hard to do shoots of my outfits at night. So here I am, pretty much recreating my look from the night before. Hehehe. I had a request on Instagram to do an outfit post on this so here it is. =) I hope you like. I firmly believe everyone should have a classic pair of suede over the knee boots. They make you feel super sexy and powerful. AND... added bonus... you don't really have to shave your legs, well your entire leg that is. Shaving my legs in the fall/winter is so annoying since it's usually just for one outfit or a random occasion since most of the time I am in pants or tights. I find it bothersome and a totes waste of work. Nam sayin'? So over the knee or thigh high boots help me save time. And with the kind of person I am, always juggling a million projects at once, I'll do anything to save myself time. So yea, underneath these slinky boots, is a whole lot of stubble. Ha! Hope that didn't gross you out. Just keepin' it 100.
