HINT HINT TICKLE TICKLE.  I wonder how they will set up the runway in their new space.  Hmmmmm...  Are you curious too?  Then you should come to one or ALL of the Style Series events.  Imma be at the AllSaints one FO SHO!  Friggin' LOVE AllSaints!  So come see what your fall wardrobe should look like this year.  Then meet me at the bar for a drink!  =D

OUTLET SHOP TIL YOU DROP

So I know you've probably heard of YOLO.  But have you heard of FOMO?  That's pretty much how I feel at an outlet mall.  What is FOMO you ask?  It's the smooshed hashtag of "Fear Of Missing Out".  Things like sales and discount shopping gets me super stressed because of FOMO.  I always think I'm going to regret it and I never want to miss out on a great deal.  So I knew I was totally screwed when I decided to go to the Fashion Outlets of Chicago.  It's a new outlet mall in one of the closer burbs in Chicagoland.  I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised.  The place is shiny and new and wasn't jam packed.  I'm sure it was a different story during opening week.  I did find it funny that some of the "high end" stores made you wait in line to get inside to avoid crowding the store but then once inside, the customer service was kinda poo.  I must have waited forever for someone to get back to me if a shoe was available in my size.  Sorry but isn't that just a quick looksee on the computer?  Overall I didn't get anything earth shattering, just some staple pieces.  We made Papa DOS get some funky stuff at the All Saints store though.  One of them being a shirt with a roaring tiger graphic.  Totally ups his street cred.  And he loved it because he's the year of the tiger on the Chinese calendar.  My tiger style beat your monkey style.  WOPAH!!  It was also fun cruising the mall with my baby sis.  Since she's about 5 inches taller than me, I had to whoop out my super high wedges to get up to her eye level.  Hehehe.  I honestly don't know how she got so much taller than me.  She got the height, the darker skin tone, and bigger boobs.  Effing wench.  I love her to death tho.  I rarely see her even though she goes to school in the city.  I guess she just needs me for my ID.  We are 10 years apart in age but only 1 year apart in maturity levels, me being closer to her age on that spectrum.  =D  So was it worth the trip to the burbies to shop this outlet?  Yea kinda.  The Vince store had some great stuff and so did the Barney's store.  All Saints was meh on the womens side but the mens side had some nice stuff.  Coach had a great sale going on.  Extra 30% off errrrythang.

Can you see the height difference?  Lmao.

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all had a great weekend!  For all those that got to go to Lollapalooza this year, I hatechu!  I am still getting photo updates on Facebook about it.  Sigh.  Oh well.  I at least got to attend an amazing wedding this weekend at the Knickerbocker Hotel in Chicago.  I have never been inside that hotel and have never experienced a wedding there.  All I have to say is, the floor lights up!  No I'm not talking about them bringing in a floor that lights up, the original floor is made that way.  It was like a glowing beacon enchanting you through out the night and calling you to it so you can shimmy shimmy shake and get your groove on.

A HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE congratulations to two of my favorite people, Ashley and Peter!  Ashley looked sooooooooooo amazeballs thanks to the ultimate Glam Team.  Ann-Marie and Izha!  If you don't know, they were the ones responsible for making me look amazing for THE DECADE post.  We had soooooo much fun at the wedding and GOOD CALL on the Filipino DJ.  Hands down the BEST DJ I've ever heard at a wedding.  I gotta get his info because he had the guests on the dance floor pretty much all night.  Well I know I was.  Ginuwine's Pony came on and I almost lost my shit.  The first few beats of that jam is not one you easily forget.  Love some old school tracks!  YAY!  How sad that I have to say old school now.  Sigh...  Also loved seeing my boys Tum Tum and Hoang do their thang.  Can't wait to see the beautiful photos that I KNOW are going to be siiiiiiiiick!

Other notable things that happened this weekend?  I spent one day trying to do chores.  I started about 15 different things and didn't complete a single one.  I would start one thing then get distracted by another thing and then another and then another.  The day ended with me having no sheets on my bed, the ironing board and iron out in the middle of the living room, my vacuum in the hallway with the cord sprawled out everywhere, my tools spread out over the kitchen counter, my sewing machine on my dining table, half the dishes in the dishwasher and me sprawled out on my couch in defeat.  Being an adult sucks no?

I also experienced the dreaded bouncer cold shoulder this weekend at my favorite place, Underground.  I know... sad right?  It was pandemonium outside but it was blatantly clear that these guys were not letting us in.  One bouncer definitely hammered the point home by skipping over me when I was standing right in front of him and letting in the group of six girls next to me.  Don't get me wrong, I still love my UG.  If I didn't love it, I wouldn't have waited the hour outside being pushed and shoved.  So I still love it, I just no likie those two bouncers.  Did I feel all kinds of salty?  Umm damn straight I did.  I wasted a perfectly cute ass outfit that night.  Not to mention it was opening weekend so I at least wanted to be there one of the days especially because I was at almost every preview party.  And I can full on admit, being a female and getting dolled up to then being ignored at the door makes you feel like the ugliest sack of scum on the planet.  So what's the trick to get in?  Be on the guest list and go at 9:30pm.  It's okay, you can nap on the couches downstairs until the party really begins at 11pm.  If you do get there after 11pm, don't do what I did.  Waiting patiently gets you nowhere.  Push and shove and scramble to the front.  Grab one of their arms if you can reach.  I noticed that usually worked.

Hmm what else?  OH!  I finally took the hubster to Siena Tavern.  I can't get enough of their delish nom noms there!  I have an obsession with their Kobe meat ball appetizer and the squid ink and lobster linguine pasta.  I won't lie to ya, it's pricey.  But it is worth every penny.  One thing I hate the most is restaurants that charge ridiculous prices for mediocre food.  Siena Tavern delivers on taste and freshness.  All their pastas are freshly made in house.  Okay I'm drooling now.  PapaDOS enjoyed everything too!  Other menu faves?  Kale Caesar salad and the Siena burger!  Oh and their outdoor patio section is doggie freindly!  The staff were so sweet to my Wrigleyboo!  One server even went up to him and asked if he wanted still or sparkling water.  LMAO!  Thanks to PapaDOS for treating us!

These photos were from the weekend where I played a supporting role in an upcoming short film by my dear friend Hoang Lam of Commonless.  What's my character?  "Female Coworker"  Hahaha.  I was extremely nervous because I have never acted before.  It was definitely a first, having to memorize a script and ad-lib certain lines and play off of the other actors.  It was so fun to be part of the process.  Hopefully I come off well on camera.  LOL.  If not, Hoang better cut me out of everything!  Anyway, I think I rambled long enough.  Have a great week nuggets!!
