THE SAN FRANCISCO TREAT

So it was gooooooooooodbye Sonoma and HELLOOOOOOOOOOO San Francisco!  It was a quick drive from Sonoma to reach the iconic and ginormous Golden Gate Bridge.  We were blessed with a sunny cloudless day so the bridge looked amazeballs.  Of course we HAD to exit and be touristy.  It would be silly of me to be in SF for the first time and not get that obligatory bridge photo.  The spot was so picturesque which is probably why there was a line to take a photo at this exact spot.  Hahaha.  Next time I go, I am going to have to rent a bike and bike down the bridge.  I saw a ton of people biking and it looks so fun!  I also heard there's a topless beach somewhere around there.  o___O  There's not much to say about this day except that we banged out as much touristy spots as we could.  Golden Gate Bridge, Painted Ladies, Fisherman's Wharf, and Union Square!  It's true what when they say SF teaches you how to layer.  It could be perfect under the sun then you turn a corner and it's about 15 degrees colder.  Also, wearing heels is about the most painful idea ever!  Uphill and downhill and uphill and downhill!  I don't think I found a two block stretch that was just one flat level.  Talk about leg workout!  If I move to SF, I am guaranteed to have a rock solid ass in a year I think.  Yet another motivation to move out west.

Here's a tourist vacation pro tip:  When you want a picture of you and your better half, scan the area and find the one guy with 4 DSLRs hanging off of his neck.  Ask HIM to take your picture.  Chances are, he knows what he's doing.  *Thumbs up*

Okay, the skirt does not pucker out like that normally.  I realized my alterations lady didn't do that great of a job on the lining.  Meaning, I have to find me a new alterations person.  Sigh.  Must haves in life:  mechanic, dry cleaners, house keeper, and tailor.  All so hard to find one that you trust.

In continuation of our super oober touristy day, we HAD to find the painted ladies!  Bring on all Full House reference quotes!  "How Rude!"  "Well pin a rose on your nose!"  "Have MERCYYY!"

Checked into the hotel and quickly went off to Fisherman's Wharf after switching bags.  No lie, my Celine gives me so much anxiety.  And to be quite frank, it is a B*TCH to open and close.  Add that to the fact that it's white and it has quickly become one of my least favorite bags to use.  But GAWD is it oh so so pretty.  Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.

HANDS DOWN, I recommend the ANTIGONA.  Depending on ur needs, small or medium.  Put it on your Christmas list like NOW.  It's the best money I ever spent on 3 damn bags.  LOL.

YOGURTLAND AND FALL STAPLES

So I recently found out about the TARO flavored froyo at Yogurtland and it kind of rocked my world.  I absolutely loooooooooooove taro flavored desserts!  When I go to Joy Yees in Chinatown and get bubble tea, I always opt for the Taro freeze with mini tapioca pearls.  ZOMG YOMMMM!  But going to Chinatown takes a lot more effort.  So when I discovered this taro froyo... I was hooked.  And the fact that it's in my hood... ruh oh!  AND they have these taro wafer sticks as a topping option!??!  STFU!!!  Life is good y'all.

These next two weeks are pretty eventful for me.  I'm coordinating another wedding but this time for one of our dearest friends.  Let's call this #graceyhak2013.  I'm very excited to be part of their big day.  And might I add, they are like.. so pretty.  No, not just SHE is so pretty.  HE is just as pretty.  Puahaha.  Don't believe me?  Well they were my models for the Gatsby shoot I put together.  See it HERE.  I am so so so excited to see her in her actual wedding dress!  Which by the way, she designed herself.  So bonkers!  I have such talented friends.  Of course I'll be instagramming the crap out of the day so keep an eye out this Sunday!  #graceyhak2013 gonna be in full force.

A few days after their wedding, I am off to Sonoma, California for yet another wedding!  Let's call this #hyunjimmers2013.  Super looking forward to this one because it is also a much needed vacation.  The Hubster and I will be staying in the area for a week then maybe check out San Fran for a couple days.  I mean c'mon, there's going to be wine EVERYWHERE.  It's going to be a great time!  I heard Sonoma will be a tad chilly this time of year so I am preparing my fall wardrobe.

Here are some of my staples!  Oversized sweaters, faux leather (or if you can afford it, real leather) leggings/pants, leg warmers, statement but classic shape booties, scarf, and sunnies!  What are some of your fall staples?  Also let me know where I should definitely hit up in Sonoma, Napa, and San Fran!  Thanks you sexy nuggets!  Follow me on Instagram @drunkonshoes cuz it's gunna be a like my mini photo diary during these next two weeks!

OUTLET SHOP TIL YOU DROP

So I know you've probably heard of YOLO.  But have you heard of FOMO?  That's pretty much how I feel at an outlet mall.  What is FOMO you ask?  It's the smooshed hashtag of "Fear Of Missing Out".  Things like sales and discount shopping gets me super stressed because of FOMO.  I always think I'm going to regret it and I never want to miss out on a great deal.  So I knew I was totally screwed when I decided to go to the Fashion Outlets of Chicago.  It's a new outlet mall in one of the closer burbs in Chicagoland.  I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised.  The place is shiny and new and wasn't jam packed.  I'm sure it was a different story during opening week.  I did find it funny that some of the "high end" stores made you wait in line to get inside to avoid crowding the store but then once inside, the customer service was kinda poo.  I must have waited forever for someone to get back to me if a shoe was available in my size.  Sorry but isn't that just a quick looksee on the computer?  Overall I didn't get anything earth shattering, just some staple pieces.  We made Papa DOS get some funky stuff at the All Saints store though.  One of them being a shirt with a roaring tiger graphic.  Totally ups his street cred.  And he loved it because he's the year of the tiger on the Chinese calendar.  My tiger style beat your monkey style.  WOPAH!!  It was also fun cruising the mall with my baby sis.  Since she's about 5 inches taller than me, I had to whoop out my super high wedges to get up to her eye level.  Hehehe.  I honestly don't know how she got so much taller than me.  She got the height, the darker skin tone, and bigger boobs.  Effing wench.  I love her to death tho.  I rarely see her even though she goes to school in the city.  I guess she just needs me for my ID.  We are 10 years apart in age but only 1 year apart in maturity levels, me being closer to her age on that spectrum.  =D  So was it worth the trip to the burbies to shop this outlet?  Yea kinda.  The Vince store had some great stuff and so did the Barney's store.  All Saints was meh on the womens side but the mens side had some nice stuff.  Coach had a great sale going on.  Extra 30% off errrrythang.

Can you see the height difference?  Lmao.

OFF WHITE AND BLACK

Hay gurl haaaaaaaay.  Momma's got a new baby.  Although I don't know if she'll see much of the outside world anytime soon.  I am so terrified of white purses.  They always look so amazing but one false move and it's curl up into a ball and cry time.  I probably should have thought more about holding my coffee so close to my outfit.  No don't worry, nothing spilled.  But why risk it right?!  So I guess black and white is a spring trend this year?  Okay sure.  I'm on it!  Here's me kind of doing a black and white outfit.  Okay I lie, the shirt is off white.  Maybe even cream.  Oh well, I tried.  Have you guys enjoyed the black and white trend this spring?  Also, how do you take care of white bags?  I've been carrying my dust bag around in case of rain or dirt or just general stain fears.  Haha.  Does anyone else do that?

And I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaack.. wsup wsup wsuuuuuuup!  I had an amaaaajjjing time in Dallas and am having a hard time adjusting back to normal life.  Why can't I just be a professional traveler?  I'd be so good at it!  A big thanks to Snuggie for showing us around Dallas and being my chauffeur when The Hubster was at his business meetings.  Sorry I dragged you to all the crazy stores.  But hey, I taught you some DSLR basics so it's an even trade.  The Hubster and I fell so in love with Dallas.  But it could have been because of the sunny weather and the oooober amazing treatment we received at Hotel ZaZa.  The staff there really know how to make you feel like a VIP.  Little do they know.. I'm just a P.  Shout out to my girl Chelsea for taking care of me all weekend.  You are a friggin' rockstar badass and I love you to death!  See you at Lolla?!?!  I am still reeling from all the amazing memories and meeting so many insanely amazing people.  Shout out to my UK peepz and one very bad ass guy reppin' Amsterdam.  You all are a flippin' blast!

This was day one in Dallas right outside Snuggie's place.  He sure got an inside look to how oober glamorous my photo shoots are.  Hell yea, I worked this parking lot like a runway y'all.  LOL.  It was actually super awkward with him watching.  I had to tell him to go away.  I've known him for over 13 years and I'm sure he was standing there rolling his eyes.  Whatever.  I had to shoot my new favorite jacket.  I made The Hubster buy a varsity jacket for himself months ago and ever since I've been wanting my own.  I've seen a few here and there and most were way over my price range for something I wasn't exactly sure I could pull off.  Thank the heavens for Top Shop.  They released a set of cute ass varsity jackets for women and I had to get my hands on one.  I absolutely love this color scheme since to me it really screams varsity team high school.  It's actually the colors of my own high school so it's also nostalgic.  The shape is so perfect for what I wanted and it has become my new favorite item to throw on.  I feel instantly cool and it turns any frumpy day into a somewhat hip look. Then again, it could all be in my head but who currrs.
