vamp it up

Lately, I've been getting a lot of "Omg, you are so cute!" or "Gosh, you are so adorable!"  (Thanks friends who always seem to tell me such nice things because that's just what friends do... except for HJ... she'll tell me when I look like crap and agree with me when I think my hair looks janky)  Anyway, all the cute and adorable-ness must be attributable to the bangs, short hair, loose clothing and lack of smokey make-up.  Most of the time, that is what I'm going for and it is definitely nice to be called cute and adorable, so no complaints here!  It's hard to be something else rather than cute when you are 5 feet tall and most of the time I am just so dang smiley.  Well, just so you know... sometimes a girl wants to be anything but cute.  She wants to be HOT!  More than just HOT.  HOT & SAUCY.  HOT SAUCY.  AND WHUT!?

So I busted out the hair extensions again cuz let's be honest, long hair helps up the "yowza" factor.  Honestly, it was Monday, I had some time on my hands, I knew I needed an outfit post for you guys, and it started getting dark, so I was in the mood for something darker, edgier, sassier.  I really don't know what got into me today but for some reason I just felt like getting glammed up.  Probably because lately I've been dressing so frumpy because I've been so tired!  DOS gots a lot going on and there are just not enough hours in the day.  So yea, I didn't really go anywhere dressed like this.  So really the only one that got to enjoy this look in person was the hubs.  And really... is there anything wrong with that?  Oh and Wrigley.  But something tells me he didn't care that much.

Blog Nazi came home and said "Ummm... are you going out tonight?"  Tee hee hee.  I said "Nope!"  I handed him the camera and put him to work.  Good job on the pics boo.  This one's kinda blurrrrrry but I like it.

And this one you cut off the top of my head but I still love you.

Cardigan/Sweater/Whatdyacallthis - YesStyle  |  Bodycon Lace Dress - Wilfred from Aritzia  |  Bracelets - Anne Taylor LOFT and UO  |  Zipper Detail Boots - Gucci

Some of these shots were self taken before Blog Nazi got home.  See I keep forgetting to put down the remote.  Hehehehe...

Self portraits are hard!  You can never tell if it's going to come out blurr-tastic.

Still think I'm so cute?  LOL!  I encourage you all to release your inner vamp.  I hope you all had a happy Monday.

This past Friday the hubs and I went out to celebrate a birthday for a very special and very sparkly birthday girl!  Mindy!  A.k.a. Mindooooooooo.  Another baby in the group who just turned 26.  It was a super fun night with some super fun peeps and ended with karaoke which is always, ALWAYS my favorite way to end the night.  =)

We started off the night at an Italian restaurant, Caro Mio.  Best thing about Caro Mio was that it was BYOB.  Yay!

I am ready with my bottle of wine.  Here I am wondering if I have to share.

Here is our beautiful and sparkly birthday girl!  Her top is just like her personalty.  Fabulous and full of sparkle!  Mindoooo you always make me twist your arm about going out but you always end up the one that has the best time ever.  LOL.  This little fact is one of the many reasons I wub you!  I always have a great time with you mostly because you are so energetic and happy!

A cutie patootie couple.  Jay, you are back in my life through Mindoo.  SWEET!  LOL!

My beautiful ladies!  Gah my hair looks like a helmet these days.  Gotta get my bangs trimmed soon.

HJ and her bling.  My ladies are all stylin'!

Time to order!

My birthday gift to my Mindoo.  Gold version of my UO bracelets and a cool wrap around watch.  Also from UO.  =)  Hope you liked them girlie!  I thought you rocked it so well!

Cupcakes and Wine.  Girls best friends!

Karaoke ALL STARS!!!!!

I blinded her with my camera light but she still belted out a perfect performance.

Mindoo belted out the best rendition of "Edge of Glory" by Lady GaGa.  Literally shook the walls with intensity!  Hehehehe... and we got Jay to sing some Korean emo songs.  Wow Jay!  All those nights of you playing WarCraft, little did I know you were also fine tuning your karaoke skills in college.
