lunch-break adventures

During my lunch break I decided to brave the sweltering heat to go buy some much needed hook and eyes for my pants that are so close to being done.  I've been so busy blogging, I've neglected them.  I also snagged some fabric for a long chiffon dress.  Wish me luck on that.  The fabric is so delicate, I'm for sure going to mess some up.  Here was my adventure along the way.

There have been a ton of food trucks sprouting in front of my office building.  Chicago is pretty late on this trend but it's definitely becoming a popular lunch option.  I think the law right now prevents the food from being prepared in a food truck, but they can sell pre-prepared food.  I wonder if these particular trucks are tasty.

Moving along.. fa la la la la.  I am really loving my new glasses.  The transition lenses are like magic for my eyes.  I can gradually see them getting tinted as I walk down the street.  I know transition lenses aren't a new thing for sunglasses.  But I've never tried them so they are new to me =)

I also stumbled across this cute farmer's market on Adams Street.  I think it was Adams and Dearborn.  I love coming across a farmers market and tasting yummy stuff.  Doesn't the fruit look so fresh and delicous?!  There was this black bean salsa that was so good.  Unfortunately, I never carry around cash so I couldn't snag a jar.  Drats!

I didn't know beans came in these many colors.

DOS window reflections.  You can kinda see what I wore today.

She got the same idea.  Checkin' her make up in the same set of windows.  Hehehehe.. I bet the people working on the other side of the window are having a good laugh at us.  Not sure why she's wearing long sleeves.  She must not know it's 86 degrees outside.  It's okay girl.  Chicago weather confuses me too.

Literally cooking outside.  Time to head back to the office.

This week's posts may be a little erratic everyone.  I think I'm catching a summer cold.  All I want to do is stay in bed and watch Star Wars.

But I so so so so SO appreciate everyone that is reading the blog.  Over 2500 views in less than three weeks and as of now being viewed in 10 countries.  This is turning out better than I could have imagined in such a short time.  Hi Sue in the UK.  Hi Jae, Jason, Peter, and Ash in Korea.  I like to think the hits from South Korea is you guys.

And for those of you who don't make yourself known through the follow button, facebook LIKE button or the comments, don't think I don't see you!!!  LOL!!  JK!!  I can't really see who is viewing.  So please show yourself through any of those options!  All I see is numbers.  But the numbers make me smile.

Blogging is hard, but oddly fun and addicting at the same time, and the fact that people are looking at it definitely makes it worth the time and effort.  I always ask Youners if I am as funny as I think I am on my blog.  She is a good friend and says "Yes" every time.  So I really really hope you guys are enjoying everything.  This blog has really become a fun and creative outlet for me since I stare at numbers and spreadsheets all the live long day.

Thank you so much for the continued support!  *Asian 90 degree bow*
