Baby your a Firework!

I hope everyone had an amazing Fourth of July weekend!!

Mine was pretty uneventful.  The work week before the weekend had me drained.  *Sigh*  Tis' the life of a tax analyst.  Yes, that's what my 9-5 is.  Tax tax tax.  Woohooo!  Rip roaring good times.  Oh well, it pays the bills.

I spent the weekend hanging out with my pup at home, and tanning on my roof.  I missed all the BBQs due to my laziness.  And I thought it was going to rain all weekend.  Chicago tricks me again!  Although it did hail on Thursday.  Literally balls of ice falling from the sky at the end of June.  I was in the car with my friends Trace Face and Bichul and we were freaking out like little girls.  Well mostly just Trace.

Side story:  That day, Trace made me go to some insane hip hop class where I paid $15 to be completely lost and I didn't get a work out at all.  I spent the entire time staring at some girl who was working it like she was on a music video.  I hope she didn't see me staring at her through the mirror.  Anyway, because of that, Trace treated me to lunch the next day as payment for the huge blow to my pride and dancing self esteem and not to mention a wasted $15.  Thanks for lunch Trace Face!

Saturday night was supposed to be allotted to going out because my friend G-racer was in town from New York.  But it ended up as a total failure because I am an old lady and it got too late.  Even though I had gotten all dressed up to go out.  We spent the night chatting til 1am and I called it a night.  Anyone else finding it a lot harder to get out of the house past midnight at the ripe age of 27?  It's so sad.  I can't even get myself out of the door when I've ALREADY put on makeup and a cute dress.  Awful, just awful.  We did take pictures which makes it look like we went out.  Even sadder.  It was nice catching up though.  And of course we sat around complaining about men.  I guess it's just one of those things women do when they get together.  Anyhoo, I must try harder these days to go out.  The weather is nice and it won't be nice for long.  Gotta take advantage!  Not to mention my shoes need to get out too.

Sunday I spent sewing.  I got on a mission to make a pair of white work pants since I can't seem to find ones that are good enough or ones that fit just right.  So while people were over playing video games and all together having a good time at my condo, I was at my dining table sewing away.  I'll do a post when they are complete =)

Monday was another lazy day.  Got some grocery shopping done though.  One of my BFFs came over!  We had our regular "catch up" talks which was definitely nice since I haven't seen her in forever because she's off studying to be the best doctor/medical scientist ever!  Then because I love her, I kinda half watched that movie "Devil" by M. Night Shamalamalamalamanam.  I couldn't sit and watch it all because I absolutely get so scared from any kind of scary movies.  Scary scenes replay in my head for two weeks after.  And in the shower I keep my eyes open even though they are burning with shampoo and soap because I am too scared to close my eyes.  My BFF goes through the same but for some reason she still likes to watch scary movies and actually liked "Devil".

And because this particular movie takes place in an elevator, I took the stairs out of my building today.  Here's something to think about.  Have you ever been in an elevator that has mirrors on the ceiling?  Ever get scared that one day, when you know ur alone in the elevator, you look up and see someone in the mirror.  ACK!!!  I juuuuuuust scared myself.  I guess it's stairs again tomorrow.

Today was nice though.  Weather is great.  Work was blah.  But at least there is less pressure this week.  Here are some snippets of what I wore today.  =D

This "dress" is actually a skirt, but since I have a height deficiency, I wear it as a dress.  It's from Free People.  Definitely into boho style these days.  So easy to wear.  Topped it off with my new fav cork heels for the summa!

Thanks for reading.  This post was deceptively long since I feel like I didn't do much this weekend.
