When someone like David Shin, prominent attorney in the Chicagoland area (was that right?) goes up to you and shouts "I WANT TO BE ON THE BLOG DAMNIT!", it's really hard to say no.  Especially after delivering one of the best wedding speeches ever done, second to his speech at my wedding of course, I just had to oblige.  So here he is world.  The ever amazing, captivating, shincredible.. David M. Shin. Rocking a pose he likes to call "Drunk On Shoes.... Get it?!"  Shout out to his hottie mctottie wife Eskeelo and their two flippin' adorable kiddies, Joshy woshy and Lil' Jon!  MWAH!

DRUNK ON ELIZABETH SHOWERS - SUBURBAN BLUES

Hey guys!  ZOMG, I had another jam packed weekend.  The weeks are just flashing by in a blur but luckily it's all been nothing but funsies.  Well... funsies and driving all over suburbia.  I haven't driven this much and gone to the suburbs this often in like two years.  LOL.  Friday was spent partying it up with some of my girls at Studio Paris.  That place is such a pain to get into.  It seems like it's a bottle service mandatory kind of place which sometimes makes no sense.  I would have probably spent more money if I didn't feel like I was automatically restricted to the bottle that we all pitched in for.  And yea, hellooooo.. how is it mandatory for a group of 7 girls to get a bottle?  Not to be all double standard but what ever happened to the letting girls in no problem in order to lure in the boys strategy?  It's not that I'm too cheap to buy a bottle, it just sux for a group of girls who all don't like to drink the same thing.  N'am sayin?!  And not gonna lie, the bouncer straight told me there was only one table left and it was $3,000!!  Do I look like I would pay that much to party somewhere?  I'd rather party outside on the sidewalk with a new Celine bag.  GEEEEZ!  So basically we got in by purchasing one bottle for "standing room" admittance.  Once we were in, I must say, we had a friggin' blast.  The music was amaaaaazing!  It did get a little crowded at some point but I guess there are tons of people in Chicago that can afford $1000+ tables.  Can we be friends?

Saturday and Sunday were both spent at weddings.  Weddings are what I like to call adult proms.  It gives you a chance to get dressed up, have dinner, then pound the dance floor just like prom, except church and speeches are mixed in there somewhere.  LOL.  Saturday wedding was for a beautiful couple who I was referred to for Day of Coordinator services.  Yea that's right.  I do that too.  The wedding was a little non-traditional but I think it was also one of the best I've had the pleasure to coordinate.  It was a smaller group but everyone was fun and down to have a great time.  You can't ask for anything more than that!  The couple had a great time and so did I.  Especially because they encouraged me to stay and party after my duties were done.  WOOT!  Congrats to you J+M!

Sunday was extremely special.  Mainly because I was with my besties.  We call ourselves JASA and though we don't really live near each other anymore and one is off flying all over the world, it's so rare but beautiful when all four of us are together.  And how beautiful it was that we got all together this time for A's Chinese wedding.  A went and eloped a few months ago leaving the rest of us a little bummed for missing it.  But we all understood, each bride is different and we just wanted her to be happy.  So it was super hooray for us when she decided to do a Chinese wedding celebration back home.  It felt so great to be able to help her with things like decorating and helping her change into her dresses.  She was my MOH for my wedding so it was touching to act like some sort of bridesmaid for her.  

If you followed me on Instagram this past weeked, you know I wore this shade of blue twice!  I am having a little obsession with this color right now.  And it just so happens to match a very special pair of blue suede shoes in my collection.  Hehehe... =)  I've also been rocking these bangles and earrings a lot lately because they pop off so well against this bright blue color and also match any casual jean and tee outfit.  What colors are you guys loving right now?

I RUN THIS ...

Okay no, not really but I like to think I play an important role.  Hahaha... This past Saturday, I was the wedding coordinator for a very special couple, Jeannie and Mike.  I had such a blast working with these two and I'd like to think I made some new friends.  Their wedding was absolutely beautiful and I got to work with some amazing vendors.  These shots were taken by Kenny Kim, a very talented and amazing photographer.  I'm almost never in any photos except for a random limb like my hand or elbow or foot, so I felt very special.  Thanks Kenny!  Please check out Kenny's website for the photos from the wedding and a whole mess of other amazing weddings he has done!  Oh and his Instagram is also pretty flippin' sweet!  All links can be found below.

INTO THE WILD

Hey everyone!  I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  It was another eventful weekend for me.  My awesome brother in law got married on Friday!  He was probably one of the happiest grooms I have ever seen.  He was a ball of nerves right before the ceremony but as soon as the she walked through the doors he was all smiles and beaming of happiness.  Totes adorbs!  I am so happy for them.  His new wifey is sweet as sugar.  I already know they will have an amazing marriage.  These photos were taken right after the ceremony behind the church.  There was about a two hour break between the ceremony and the reception so Papa DOS and I kept ourselves busy with some shots.  Hahaha.  I'm pretty sure the guests that were driving away thought we were super weird and that this "sister in law" is super narcissistic.  Goodness, I will never get used to the awkward-ness.

I know some people have already seen this dress on me through my posts from the wedding on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, so this might be a little redundant.  But I'm pretty sure some of you are wondering where the dress is from.  This dress kind of has a little story behind it and how it ultimately landed itself in my overstuffed wardrobe.

We were having dinner with my in laws last week and my mother in law asked me if I bought a long dress for the wedding.  I told her I had no plans of purchasing a new dress because I already have so many dresses to choose from.  I got confused and thought this meant she wanted me to wear a long dress.  Apparently that was not what she meant at all but that's what I understood.  Hahaha...  So one day I was riding my bike down Halsted and I see this particular dress in the window of a new store in Lincoln Park.  I immediately hit the brakes and stared at it.  It was a long dress and I thought, "Perfect for the wedding!"  The print was definitely calling out to me.  So I tied up my bike and walked in.  The nicest guy helped me take the dress off the mannequin so I could try it on (Hi George!).  It was love at first wear.  The underlining skirt portion is shorter than the outer lining and creates that effect of being able to see some of your legs through the sheer outer lining.  And when I realized it also had a side slit, it was a done deal.  I'm so glad I got this dress because I got a ton of compliments on it, especially from my in laws.  Hahahaha... I aim to please.

If you are in the Chicago area and are interested in this dress, please go and see George at CT212 on Halsted.  CT212 is a new boutique opened by one of my favorite designers, Calvin Tran.  This boutique differs from his Calvin Tran boutique a few blocks away in that it carries different designers as well.  The prices are reasonable and the pieces are fun.  This particular dress was under $100!  Woot!  And please say hi to George.  He works Saturday - Wednesday and he will take great care of you.  =)  Don't you love finding hidden treasures in your neighborhood?  Please share some of the hidden treasures in your area.  I'm always looking for new places to check out.

FYI, this is another attempt at a sockless bun.  I don't have hair that is long enough to hide the sock so I have to create this look without one.  I think I'm getting better considering I had to do my hair AND make up at 6am before heading into the office.  Yes, I worked before going to the ceremony.  Tis' the life of a tax gal.  I'm sure I was completely over dressed at work that day.

... I married my best friend.

HAPPY 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO US!

Here's to the man that keeps me grounded, pulls me back when I start to get too cray, makes me madder than anyone else can, and makes me happier than anyone else can.  Year one was a blur, year two was frustrating, year three has been my favorite so far.  I love you and that's keepin' it 100.
