WEDNESDAY WISHLIST 8/1/12

Happy Wednesday y'all!  Not much to say about this look except.. uh.. awesome.  If you've got that nice flat stomach thing going on, let the world see and hate you for it with this crop top and low hanging boyfriend jean.  But don't forget your Alexander McQueen shrug in case it gets chilly throughout the day.  The crop top and baggy jean combo is such an understated type of sexy that I just love!  And did you know that Toms made sunglasses?  There are actually a lot of styles that I like from their sunglasses line.  The best part?  Like they do with their shoes, they do with their sunglasses.  They donate a pair of prescription eyeglasses to those in need for every pair of sunglasses sold.  Don't you just love that?  You get to be stylish AND help the world.  The 3.1 Phillip Lim bag has just been catching my attention a lot lately.  Every time I look at it, I think, hmmmm... mucho like!  And especially in this blue color.  I don't think I have this color in my bag collection.  Hmmmmm...  Also, not to be forgotten, are some awesome boots by Rachel Zoe.  I love how she is obsessed with tall heels like I am.  I love the color, the height, and the buckles.  Delish!

I'm off to Texas this weekend for a very special wedding.  One of my very best friends is taking the marriage plunge and I am honored to be one of the bridesmaids.  Needless to say, there will be a few days break from blogging while I'm gone.  Be patient my loves.  I've got more photos to share with ya!  xoxoxo!

Wednesday Wishlist 5/9/12

Happy Wednesday everyone!  So on my recent online perusing binge, I came across these AMAZING Brian Atwood shoes.  OMG aren't they GORGEOUS!?!?!  Fringe, check.  Chains, check.  Suede, check.  Platform, check.  Fabulous factor, TRIPLE CHECK!  I just want to curl up with them.  Sigh.  Definitely a drool worthy pair in my opinion and the definite highlight of today's Wednesday Wishlist.  I kept the rest of the outfit pretty simple to highlight the shoes.  A simple and classy black dress paired with a white blazer with a hint of edge on the design to match the edge of the chains on the shoes.  Simple jewelry and an understated but super adorable purse.  An outfit to stand out in the office that can go straight to happy hour and a night out on the town.  Woot!

Wednesday Wishlist 1/4/2012

I almost didn't do a Wednesday Wishlist today.  To be honest, I have been sick and feeling quite lazy wazy.  Going back to the office after a long holiday weekend was a pretty rough adjustment on top of being super sniffle-y.  Plus the weather has turned dreadfully freezing here in Chicago.  Yikes!  It takes all of my energy to trudge to work in the morning bundled up in a million layers and beyond recognition.  So anyway, I was at work pretty busy and I tried to commandeer my friend Mindoo to put together today's Wednesday Wishlist.  About 30 minutes later she comes to the realization that it's not as easy as you would think!  LOL!  She is totally right though.  It's really not that easy to put an entire look together on the spot.  It's so funny because on a day to day basis, I see things I want to buy.  But when Wednesday comes along, I draw a blank.  I try to remember all the things that I want but for some reason, most of them don't even go together.  So it's mad dash to find items that go together.  I usually start with one key piece that I want and work around that.  But it's kind of like when you go shopping with no particular item in mind, you end up going home with bags and bags of stuff.  But the one time you are looking for something specific, you can't find one you like!  It's such a mystery but I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about.  Hahaha... So thanks for trying Mindoo.  Maybe next week!?

Moving on, as it is an hour away from officially being Thursday, I am posting this last minute Wednesday Wishlist.  Mainly because I was perusing on one of my favorite shopping sites shopbop.com and I came across the outfit photo above.  The main item was the bomber but I loved the entire look.  It was like it was all wrapped in one pretty present for me.  Hahaha... total clutch moment!  A lot of this stuff is A.L.C. which I totally love but for some reason I don't have anything by them!  I must remedy this soon eh?  And I absolutely love love love this RZ skirt.  High slit skirt = yummO!  Enjoy!

And thanks to everyone who sent me little messages and shout outs about being inspired to try the Rich and Skinny Legacy Jean after my post!  I'm so glad you guys ended up happy with the purchase!  I would have felt like poo if you ended up hating them.  Hehehe...  =D

So Rachel Zoe started a line and chug-a-lug, I am getting shwasted on it.  Oof, this line is so delish and the resort collection and shoes are making me smile.  Not to mention her Tuxedo Pant looks tailored to perfection.  Makes me wish I was 5'9" so I can rock them the right way.  Well let's be honest, there are many reasons I wish I was 5'9".  But I digress.  I'm glad she started a line because she has amazing style.  Some of her looks I can't do but when she does boho or vintage glam, it is epic.  I think her pregnancy put a couple of pounds on her (thank God!).  I thought she was a bit too skinny before.  I think she looks so beautiful now.  What do you all think of Rachel Zoe and her new clothing line?  Leave me comments =)

Here are some looks from her Resort Collection 2012.  I love all things flowy and chiffony so I am digging all of these.  The long dresses I will probably have to cut off 10 inches from the bottom.  Oof.  But man, flowy long dresses with a thigh high slit?!  It's like she read my mind!

And holy cannoli do I love some of her shoes!  Especially this juicy nugget of yummyness.  Should I pre-order?  (my dad and husband are rolling their eyes somewhere.. but c'mon, at least it's half the price of a Loub).  If you see these on my feet around September, you'll know who won this argument.  Tee hee hee.

Other notable goodies for your feet from Rachel Zoe.

And let's not leave out her amazing Tuxedo Pant.  I definitely want to snag a pair.  The dream is that it makes my butt look smaller and my legs look longer.

I'll end with a quote she gave on an NM exclusive that I sooooooooo agree with on the topic of glamour:

"It's something that I don't want to lose sight of... I feel like people have stopped dressing up, and it's time to do it."

Amen to that!

Sorry no outfit picture of me today.  I went to the gym and got gross-nasty.  Plus do you know how hard it is to take pictures of yourself?  Blog nazi was out golfing.  *virtual thumbs down*
