GOLDILOCKS AND BLUSH

Hay gurl haaayyyyyyyyy.... look who went blonde.  Hahaha.  I've definitely been craving a drastic change lately and it's taken quite a bit of attempts to get me to this color but oh em geeeeee... I love it!  I wanna thank Miss Beth over at Epoch Studio Salon for my new goldilocks!  It feels so good when you find someone you can trust with your hurrrr and keeps it real throughout the process.  What do you guys think?  Is this look a keeper?

Lately I've been going through these moods of wanting change or just taking a stab at that million dollar question of "What do I want out of my life?"  Maybe it's because I am turning 30 this Saturday.  Do you like how I just kind of snuck that in there?  LMAO.  Yes, this gal is turning the big 3-0.  And no, I'm not going to sit here and whine about how I'm getting old or how my life is now going to come to a halt or all those other crazy things women say when they turn 30.  I am actually very excited to venture into my 30s.  I am the happiest I've ever been and I plan to continue to stay that way.  But it does make you think about things.  My career, my aspirations, my passions.... hmmmmm.  What do I see myself doing in the future, and am I on that track?  What am I really passionate about and what small mark do I really want to leave in this world?  GAH!  Who the hell knows!?!?  Things I do know.  I have a good life.  I can pay my bills and enjoy things a majority of the world can't.  I have a husband who I fall more and more in love with lately after going through a lot of roller coaster years together.  I have my pup who brings such a light in my life just by sitting there staring at me.  I have my dad and my sister who is just the right amount of family for me and I have a close knit of friends who understand who I am and love me for it.  And most importantly, I have a guardian angel that watches over me each and every single moment of my life.  Really what else is there?  I most definitely have ZERO complaints.  So what is this nagging feeling of "So what's next?"  Quite honestly, I just don't know.  Is this where I should tell you things I learned in my 30 years?  Puahahaha.  Maybe I'll share all that after this weekend because I do feel like I learned a lot in the past 10 years but I also know I have way more that I don't know about.  So what was this rant all about?  That, I don't know either.  But this is my blog and I can rant if I want to and make zero sense if I want to!  Luckily there are pictures so you can just focus on that today.   Do you guys every get those days where you just think "What the heck am I doing?"  How do you deal with those days?  Should I just get over myself and go shopping?  Maybe I'm just hungry.  Mk byeeeeeeeee.

DOS X ASOS: IF I WERE A BOY

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend and ate lots and lots of yummies!  I know I did!  Thanksgiving was spent with both our families and included an intense round of Chinese checkers, watching old family videos of the hubby and his brother (lol), and a head start to Black Friday shopping at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago.  The weekend definitely whizzed by in a blur and I definitely made the most of it.  I did some fun partying with my favorite betches and celebrated one of my besties hitting that dirty thirty mark.  Also watched Catching Fire which was amaaaaaaaaaaazing and managed to get totally suckered by the hubby and a Best Buy rep into purchasing a new TV on Black Friday.  There are just so many good deals out right now!  Which brings me to today...

HAPPY CYBER MONDAY!

I find going out shopping on Black Friday is immensely stressful!  Hunting for my size and being surrounded by hoards of shoppers while waiting in insane lines just to try on clothes and then waiting in yet another line to checkout is not the funnest experience.  The Hubster and I decided to just check out the outlet mall on Thursday at around 11pm and ended up sticking around until 3am and by the end of it, I was deliriously tired and sweating from the stress and lugging around all of our shopping bags.  I guess it WAS a good way to burn off some of my dinner.  But for me, CYBER MONDAY is where it's at.  I get to still shop the amazing deals but in the comfort of my own home while I catch up on my shows.  And of course what's the very first site I visit?  ASOS duh!

Lucky for all of you, ASOS is having an amazing CYBER MONDAY deal!

WOOOOOT!   So to celebrate this awesome deal, here I am wearing some of my favorite fall ASOS pieces!  I have been soooooo loving some mens inspired gear this season.  It's so much more comfortable dressing like a dood.  The Hubster already tried to steal this bomber from me.  Haha.  And I finally found a perfect pair of boyfriend jeans for myself.  I've been trying lots of different brands but for some reason it just didn't look right.  Not quite sure what exactly the problem was but once I got these from ASOS, I was supes happy!  I love the extreme rips and it slouches perfectly.  I had to wear some leggings underneath, obviously, so that I wouldn't freeze to death.

FLORALS AND BELL SLEEVES AT OBRIEN ESTATE WINERY

This might be the last set of photos from wine country. This was the day we ventured into Napa Valley and ended up at what has been my favorite wines and winery of the whole trip!  O'Brien Estate Winery is absolutely amazing. The drive into the estate had this long driveway lined with trees as if welcoming you into some sort of fairy tale.   You walk up the path to the house, turn a corner and the landscape just unfolds before you.  We had no reservation, but luckily they were able to accommodate.  The folks at the winery were so flexible and did not once make us feel bad for not planning ahead.  As soon as I mentioned that I had no reservation, one of the guides said "No biggie.  Just hang around and we'll be right with you.  Here, have a glass of Chardonnay."  So with a glass in our hands of some refreshing, cold, and yummy Chardonnay, we went off exploring.  It actually worked out perfectly because it gave us time to take some photos before our tasting.  The winery had the cutest details everywhere.  From the hanging chandelier in the tree, the string lights floating across the branches, to the adorable seating areas scattered throughout the estate, it truly was perfection.  My favorite part?  The hammock!  I could have just stayed there all day!  I suggest you plan a day here to just relax if you are ever in Napa Valley.

Another thing I loved about this winery was that our tasting was outside!  I haven't been to very many tastings, but for the most part it was always in a room at some sort of counter and you stand and drink the wines as someone pours from the other side.  Not here!  Our awesome guide took us to a cute picnic table outside and brought the wine bottles with him.  We were grouped with one other couple from Boston who were on their honeymoon and OMG they were hilarious!  The guide proceeded to tell us about the story of the winery and that it was inspired by how the owners met and fell in love.  Which is why O'Brien Estate Winery revolves around love and love stories.  I hope I remember this correctly.  So I guess the owners met and it was love at first sight and while they were dating, they both thought that it would be great to own a winery together someday.  They got married and started their lives together and remembered that conversation and decided to go out and just do it.  Each bottle is a representation of how he felt throughout their love story and how it progressed.  That's why the bottles are named like "Seduction" and "Passion" and on the back there are poems about how he felt about his wife at each of the stages.

The funniest part was the NEWLYWED couple from Boston had their own type of commentary.  The wife, in her thick Boston accent, stops the guide and says "Well if that ain't the biggest focken' mahketing pitch I evah heard."  OMG, The Hubster and I were dying of laughter.  They were such a funny couple and so fun to hang out with.  When our guide left to grab some grapes and cheese, he made the terrible mistake of leaving one of the bottles on the table.  The husband immediately grabbed it and poured all four of us a gigantic glass of "Seduction".  (See photo below for reference)  When we heard the guide coming back, the husband whispers "Yo, chug that sh*t!"  Needless to say we, once again, got wasteypants. Because I felt a little guilty but mostly because the wine was soooooooo good, I brought home a bottle for my boss.  =D

The rest of the day was kind of a blurrrrrr.  I spent some of the time twirling around buzzed in my Free People floral dress.  I absolutely love the bell sleeves and how this dress fit so well with the scenery.  Not gunna lie, there was definitely a block of time where I was just flapping and wailing my arms around and all over the place.  Those photos were NOT cute.  Blame it on the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol.  The dress was just so comfortable and fun, I couldn't help myself.  It will transition really well into a nice fall day with a leather jacket and boots.  Love love love!  Thank you Free People!

This bottle used to be full.  LMAO.
