kickin' it high school

So yeaaaaa... I have to share with you guys this super funny/silly situation I'm in right now.  Nothing important at all, but just funny.  Today I had to kick it high school style and wear... omg I can't even say it out loud... colored contacts... GASP!  Whilst in the shower last night and washing my face, one of my contacts fell out and I couldn't find it.  And it was part of my last pair!  I am extremely blind and have a very high prescription so I definitely thought I was screwed.  I do have glasses but sometimes they give me headaches because I am not used to wearing them.  So I rummaged through my drawers hoping I would find some old stash of contacts from last year or something and what do I find?  I find my old high school stash of colored contacts.  That's right!  I used to wear all the colors of the rainbow.  Because it's sooooooooooooo natural for a person to have purple tinted eyes.  I let out a big sigh and tried to find the most discrete color.  I saw blue, green, honey brown, purple, and grey.  I tried on the honey brown and felt a little like the Cullens in Twilight.  Although I do like the idea of feeling like a vampire who has given up human blood, it was way too light and would be way too weird for the office.  Sadly the only ones that seemed less noticeable were the grey.  So this morning at the office, I go up to my manager to ask her a question.  I'm rambling on and on, going into detail when she goes "You know I am totally not listening to a word you are saying because all I am thinking about are your eyes.  I am hella distracted!"  Hahahaha!  I guess they are not so discrete after all.  I should try to get used to it for a little bit because I won't be able to get a new batch of contacts for a while.  I must say, I'm kind of having fun reliving high school.  Hahahahahaha... I loved me my bleach blonde highlights and purple tinted contacts!  I was sooooo AZN!  Throwin' it back is always fun.  If bell bottoms and leggings can make a comeback, why can't colored contacts right!?!?  Here's lookin' at you kid!
