RIBFEST CHICAGO

Hey y'all!  Lookit!  RIBS!!  So this past weekend was also Ribfest Chicago.  Did I mention how my goal this summer is to go to as many Chicago festivals as I can??  And how could I miss out on Ribfest??  Ribfest celebrates all the different restaurants in Illinois that serve up amazing ribs and piggy goodness.  Needless to say, The Hubster was a very happy man this day.  We tasted about 5-6 different ribs and all were amazing.  If I had to cast my vote, it would be for Uncle Bubs or Chicago BBQ Company.  So hard to choose between the two!  Both were finger lickin' amazeballs!  It's a miracle I didn't get sauce all over me.  That's probably because I had the hubby feed me.  Hahahaha...

Not quite sure why I chose a white t shirt and light colored shorts for this event but oh well. I am totes in love with my Zara shorts. I've had them for about 2-3 months but they were a little big on me. And if you don't know me, I am the worst at remembering to take things to the tailor. However, this time I was inspired to try to alter them myself. Armed with a seam ripper and my mom's old sewing machine, I went to town. I'm pretty darn proud of myself because now they fit perfectly and you can't tell I did the alterations myself. Woot! Usually when I try to alter things myself, the outside looks great but the inside looks like a hot mess. Probably because I rush it and think, who cares what the insides look like.  Another reason I love these shorts?  Because it matches my House of Harlow necklace.  Word.  =)

Time to let out my inner Britney.

Sorry I have skipped a few Wednesday Wishlists.  I really haven't had the time to peruse around for wish items which is probably good for me since making these wishlists also is a gigantic temptation to shop.  I've got a bachelorette party to go to in Vegas and I'm trying to save my monies so I can gamble it all away.  Hahahaha.  Does anyone have any secret Vegas tips and tricks to offer?  I've already heard of "The Vegas Sandwich" and "Mr. Lucky's 777 Special".  Can't wait to give those a try.  Hopefully I don't end up looking like a fool.  Have a great rest of your week loves!
