COLLAR

I've got a new must have accessory!  Collars.  This makes me think of Playboy bunnies and K-pop group FINKL (again).  This particular collar is from the new KARL by Karl Lagerfeld collection purchased from Net-a-Porter.  I love the way it can add such an interesting punch to a casual outfit.  If you want to get noticed right away for something off the wall and interesting, get yourself a fun collar.  You can also take the time and make this a DIY project.  Just sneak into your boyfriend's closet and start cutting up some of his collared shirts.  Hehehehe... Or do what Chriselle does and get some shirts from your local thrift store and start designing away!  Check out her awesome tutorial video here!  I am definitely inspired to go make some of my own funky collars.  I kinda wish I saw this before I bought the collar.  Hahaha... oh well.  Although I do love me some Lagerfeld action.  There's actually a fun quote typed out on the back of this collar.  It says "I only wear the latest thing.  It's my job."  It's subtle because it's written in white.  Watching Chriselle's awesome video does open up a lot more creative options for me.  I'll probably make myself a fun one with studs and maybe go full circle and make some studded collared cuffs too.  Full on Playboy bunny style!  This was a really fun day for me and The Hubster.  We went ice skating with some super fun peeps.  But I will be doing a separate post for that, so stay tuned!  =)

I'm going to do my shameless request to ask my readers to please support the blog via GFC, Twitter, Pinterest and FB, and also leave me lots of comments to read during my lunch breaks at work.  =)  Thank you for keeping me motivated to keep this little project going!

What are your thoughts on this new collar trend?

you look smashing in that collar, written by the girl who sat across from you at lunch & saw it very clearly. But then, you look smashing anyway.

Waaah! I wanted one but by the time I decided to get one they were sold out! I'll just have to settle for my faux leather one from Akira. =(

Love it! I'm waiting on my bf's donation of old shirts so I can snip snip away and create my own collars. Looking chic!
